The Seven Laws of Ogygia

Agency is part of the architecture.

The Seven Laws are not rewards, optional flavor, or hidden story unlocks. They are immutable canon governing how the planned product, narrative, data, evidence, and public-good work must treat people.

This page is a presentation of the frozen world and lore canon. It cannot amend the laws or create a new authority layer.

  1. The Law of the Open Hand

Nothing is taken through coercion, confusion, deception, or manufactured urgency.

Purpose, choice, and consequences must be understandable before participation. Narrative cannot become pressure or concealment.

  2. The Right of the Key

Every person controls access to their Chronicle.

Access must remain purpose-specific, inspectable, revocable, and subordinate to the person rather than a provider, sponsor, or platform.

  3. The Sanctity of the Hearth

    Private by default.

The software may be public while production health data remains private. Visibility and sharing require separate, deliberate choices.

  4. The Law of the True Chronicle

Provenance, timing, method, and uncertainty must be preserved.

A useful Chronicle keeps source context and evidence differences visible instead of flattening every record into one unquestioned claim.

  5. No Oracle Above Evidence

No claim may exceed its evidence.

Models, institutions, standards, associations, and confident language cannot turn incomplete evidence into diagnosis, certainty, or authority.

  6. The Right of Return

People may export, revoke, correct, and request deletion where possible.

Leaving, changing course, correcting history, and carrying records elsewhere are product rights rather than progression rewards.

  7. The Covenant of the Commons

Public-good knowledge must be governed transparently and cannot be silently converted into private extraction.

Research and collective benefit require visible governance, purpose-specific authority, and protection against sponsor or institutional capture.

Canon boundary

No model, sponsor, or feature outranks them.

AI may phrase dialogue, but it may not alter the Seven Laws, player rights, consent behavior, the meaning of the Promise, or the distinction between clues and medical conclusions.
